[Call for papers] Scientific workshop on Meteorological, Weather forecasts for Renewables
There are challenges for the power system to accommodate a higher share of variable RE sources (solar and wind), which are resulted from their intermittency depending on natural conditions. Hence, having accurate and reliable RE power generation forecasting systems becomes a crucial requirement for managing and balancing the power system.
The foundation for such systems lays in the quality of short-term and long-term hydro-meteorological and weather forecasts.
Under this context, the Vietnam Initiative for Energy Transition would like to organize the Scientific Workshop on Meteorological, Weather forecasts, which is expected to be a forum for the presentation and discussion of new advances and research results in the fields of theoretical, experimental, and applied science for Meteorological, Weather forecasts which can then support the variable RE integration and power system operation. The workshop will bring together Vietnamese leading researchers, engineers, and scientists in this domain of interest.
The author(s) are requested to submit a long abstract (with no specific required format, maximum 1000 words, in English and Vietnamese) to the Workshop’s Organizing Committee by sending to the email: MWFconf20@vietse.vn
This scientific workshop will cover the following topic:
Numerical Weather Prediction and remote sensing
The workshop will be held on 19 January 2021 (whole day) in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Workshop Date: 28 January 2021
Deadline for abstract’s submission: 19 January 2021
Registration deadline for speakers and participants: 22 January 2021
